Heath Ledger Dead At 28

Academy Award-nominated actor Heath Ledger was found dead Tuesday afternoon in a New York City apartment. He was 28.

His body was discovered by a housekeeper and a masseuse, who had an appointment with the actor that afternoon, but found no one answering the actor's door. Responding paramedics performed CPR on Ledger, to no avail. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

An certain amount of pills were found near his body, although the cause of death has not yet been determined.

He leaves behind a daughter, Matilda, with former partner Michelle Williams.

What a waste.
